Bulk billing update starting 1st of July 2022.

RE: Physiotherapy no longer bulk billing

 

From 1^st July 2022, we will no longer be bulk billing Chronic Disease Management plans (CDM) or Enhanced Primary Care plans (EPC) for physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. This is due to rising business costs.

 

Podiatry will not change and will continue to be bulk billed.

 

If you have an Enhanced Primary Care plan (EPC) or Chronic Disease Management plan (CDM) for physiotherapy, you can still use it at our clinic. There will be a new, same-day, payment fee which you are responsible for.

If you have a physiotherapy EPC or CDM you will be billed $73, and the claims process will be as follows:

1. On the day of each care plan treatment, you will pay $73 with cash or card.
2. On your behalf, we will lodge the Medicare claim online. It will take 1 to 3 business days before the refund will be transferred into your bank account. The refund amount should be $55.10. This means you end up paying a gap fee of $17.90 for each visit.

 

Please discuss with Medicare directly to resolve any refund/payment issues as we are not able to help with any issues once we have lodged the claim with Medicare on your behalf.
